Centuries ago the Roman Catholic Church waged a discreet war against all supernatural creatures. They claimed them sinful creatures and most went extinct after the surprise of the attacks and the knowledge the church wasn't supposed to know. When the crusades against these creatures finally stopped only eight of the strongest supernatural species remained. Facing their first loss lore says that the Catholics turned to the angels and begged for help - resulting in a deal with which they would curse seven of the remaining species with a deadly sin. The eighth species, the witches, would be their governing force and keep all of the creatures in line with a code the church determined.

Phoebe Sigrún is one such creature. The daughter of a Valkyrie father, Phoebe spends most of her time making sure their family is always following the rules so as not to be targeted. She blends with the humans easily and poses no threat, thinking herself timid as far as Valkyries go. Like her father, Phoebe believes that speaking of the past is unnecessary when there is so much more to focus on in the day to day life. However, after a chance encounter with a strange warlock, Phoebe begins to see things nobody else can and soon realizes that sometimes the past doesn't want to be ignored.

"They took my sister. Now I'm taking her back." Seventeen years ago, humans started developing supernatural abilities. Comic books came true as the first person flew, created fire, mind-read. The world entered a new age where people who could do special things were revered and admired. That all changed when one man lost control of his power and unleashed a huge explosion in a crowded shopping centre, killing over a thousand others. A series of fights involving superhumans broke out, resulting in the destruction of multiple cities and hundreds upon hundreds of further lives lost. The government began hunting down those extraordinary people with the assistance of a specialised unit: trained in recognising different abilities. Suddenly powers became something scary, uncontrollable and dangerous, that nobody wanted to own up to having. Seventeen years after the Explosion, Amelie Rose Carmichael is the daughter of the man who is in charge of hunting down and imprisoning these people. She enjoys a comfortable life, protected from any threats against her. But when Amelie develops an ability without warning, she must try to keep it hidden from her family, her friends, and above all her father. Can she keep a secret? Will she use her powers to help the rebel organisation that has approached her? And what secrets are the people around her hiding? Ayn's Healing by AMHillmann
54 parts Complete Mature
Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi

A broken family; a terrible curse; a forbidden love. What else could go wrong? Having the ability to shape shift from human to dog has its perks, but how would you feel if you were forced to pass it on, forced to give this terrible curse to someone you weren't supposed to care about? Emma didn't ask to be a skinwalker. It was a life her abusive parents chose for her, so when she is forced to meet the Leader of the Skinwalkers, Raphael, she is given a job. To survive, she took the job. Only she didn't realize the job was to transform into a dog, pretend to be a family pet, and recruit and turn others into what they are. With Blake and his son Liam, however, Emma didn't see them as a job; she saw them as a chance at life, love, freedom, and a real family. But what if Raphael finds out? Will their happiness be destroyed? Will this curse be the end? Or will love find a way to conquer all?
