Danny never believed in mythical creatures even though his parents strongly did. The Fenton's where known for their crazy obsession with mers, and it has brought Danny and his sister much grief and bullying by their piers. Danny grew a big grudge towards his parents and their absurd obsession. But after an experiment gone wrong, Danny is forced to accept the fact that his parents might not be the towns weirdos everyone proclaims them to be. He is forced to take an unwanted step into the mythical world. How will Danny and his friends handle this new outcome?
I promise that the story is so much better then the summary!

In the Dead of Night You Went Dark On Me
It has been three years since Amity Park first saw ghosts, and now it was uncommon to go a day without an explosion or fight of some kind. Heroes have shown up, the Red Huntress, the GIW, The Fenton's, and Phantom. Danny Fenton used to be an A+ student; he was going to go on to be an astronomer, an astronaut, and live out his dreams of visiting the stars. No one really knows what happened to the bright kid he used to be, but he was now failing practically every class, and if he wasn't sleeping in class, he was missing half of it. No one knows what happened to the bright young star, but they want to. Danny Phantom is the Ghost Prince. After defeating the prior Ghost King, every entity in the Ghost Realm was preparing for his coronation. The day his body turns eighteen years old, he will be the Ghost King. However, they cannot have a halfling as their king, so the only viable option is to kill his human half. Thankfully that has already been written into the coronation process. They just need to collect the ingredients for the potion. Danny Phantom would rather not be king, but he doesn't get a say in the matter. - The title is from the song Dark on Me from Starset. I just thought it was kind of cool. I started writing this a while ago, and I have a few parts already written, but I am going to hold off on posting them because I have a habit of procrastination, so maybe waiting to post for a few days or so will help me actually update it.
