The future didn't look bright. Yet she had cursed herself with the hope that one day, outside of Derry, she could make something of herself. Big dreams and a big heart would make a big success. And although everyone around her told her it was impossible, a group of friends she miraculously made over the summer had great expectations for her. [Book #1 of Twisted Deception] "You people don't know a damn thing about us, don't even speak." **** Everyone knows that high school is always something to dread. GPA, friends, enemies, prom, graduation, everything that you think would make high school good and bad for the future. Now scratch off friends, GPA, prom, and graduation. Why would you scratch them off? Because everything else will be the only thing that's important when you get to this high school. Saint Johnathan Pier is the one high school in the city where everything happens and normally, stuff you wish you didn't see. Everyone warned people about the dangers of the students going there but did they ever mention the people already broken by it? They were dubbed "the rainbow colors of society" just because they were different from other students in this school. But there's a slight differential between them: four of these students are popular while the other four are normal. While the four populars are seen as "superior, hot, and intimidating", the four normals are seen as "weirdos, weaklings, and irreverent bystanders". Being different from the other kids has always been a struggle for all of them since grade school, but they try to keep that out of mind. But with their dark history following them at every corner, making new friends can't be on their list. Matter of fact, it isn't an option. Especially when their attitudes are what drive people away rather than in. Not like they're complaining though. When these eight students get paired up for an end of the year assignment, they encounter a lot of drama that will test their relationships to the max. What will happen to them? Can they grow comfortable with each other? Can these troubled teens even be friends in the first place? Come along on the journey as these eight try to survive their last year of high school. ⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️: This contains strong language, mentions of rape, bullying, etc.

You are Lee, a normal student in a normal high school. Probably. After all, every school has to have that one quiet girl that really likes cauldron selfies. Or maybe the delinquent who is an avid fan of blood. And there's you, who's addicted to limited edition juice. Oblivious to all your totally normal classmates, you forge ahead through your school life trying to make new friends. (Note: This was a real-time choose-your-own-adventure, so it was a lot of writing-by-the-seat-of-your-pants. Choices were presented throughout, with votes from multiple sources deciding the path of the story as it is written out. Story was complete as of 5/31/19, so choices have been removed since.)

... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

Wayland Everett is someone no one expects to have problems. He is the 'Grade-A' student: top off his class with no marks against him. However, he has more to him, and Jean West isn't too happy about it. Follow the story as two people, both having gone through their own hell, learn to overcome the obstacles in their lives blocking their happiness- because sometimes we make our own obstacles and don't even know it. The moment it all began: "I peek at him through the corner of my eye. Wayland Everett, the goody- two- shoes who did everything right and never got into trouble, was peeling off his russet soaked white t-shirt, revealing dark purple and black bruises all along his sides criss-crossed with red and pink scars. If I squinted my eyes hard enough, I could see small circles of charred flesh dotting places across his neck and arms- but not his lower arms where it would be too visable. Wayland winces as the material sticks to the torn skin, but eventually he scrapes it off. In doing this, his normal mahogany beanie slips off, and black hair matted down with sweat is pushed back exposing the sides of his head to be shaved with intricate sharp designs. The sides are shaded a deep, bloody red, and glimmer wickidly against his dyed- probably a more temporary type of dye- black locks. A gasp seems to rush through my whole body, but I throw my hand up to cover my mouth and keep it from escaping. But it's too late; he heard me.

But when left alone, with the help of three milkshakes, a friendship forms between the two. Well..its a bit more complicated than a simple friendship. Feelings are quickly formed, but its never that simple. Add some denial, a few milkshakes, alot of toxic friendship, and a bit of fighting feelings, and you end up with this hectic story.
