Maybe that was the reason Tord shared an equal amount of depression and jealousy. Maybe that's when he showed up, Tord can't say he remembers much of how he got here. I have based this after the end with Tord beoming red leader and Tom trying to move on after Edd and Matt left. They won three lotteries, which gave them enough money (with extra) to buy a new house or to rebuild the old one. This all happened in five months, people who knew what happened to them would consider them very lucky. Though they thought that Tord died during the incident, they would think of him from time to time and they would be sad. Especially Tom, whenever he thought about the communist he would try his best to get him off his mind. Though, no matter what he did, he never succeeded. He felt horrible for killing him.
