Kokichi started coughing. The room grew silent as the other Ultimates, who were investigating a murder, turned their attention to the smaller teen. He stopped his hacking, only to say "I'll be back in a sec" before abruptly turning and speed walking out the door. Two small, dark blue petals were left in his wake. This is a Hanihaki story between Kokichi and Shuichi. It will most definitely be shorter in length, so don't be too surprised, heh heh! I'm conflicted, so I will make a good ending and a bad ending (The bad one ending in death). This is my first fic actually, so I hope you enjoy! Just as the blue haired tries to forget everything, a ginger haired boy appears in his life and changes it another time... ...And most of the time, changes aren't something good. ... "Why am I throwing up flower petals...?" -------- Hanahaki Disease: A disease in which the victim coughs up flower petals when they suffer from one-sided love. It ends when the beloved returns their feelings, or when the victim dies. It can be cured through surgical removal, but when the infection is removed, the victim's romantic feelings for their love and memories also disappear. The symptoms of the disease are summarized to strong pain, having flowers blooming in the heart and lungs, and then throwing them up. The disease begins with coughing up a few petals and growing in intensity (and pain) until the victim is vomiting entire flowers, by which point the disease has entered its final stages... Sonic started to cough up petals. Turns out he got a disease called Hanahaki disease, which means a specific flower starts to grow in the patient's chest, slowly suffocating them. This is caused by the patient dealing with unrequited love, it happens rarely and only with true love.. Will he be able to find a solution before the time runs out or will he suffocate to death.. :;PLEASE READ:; I think my book is the only one that actually thinks deeply into the hanahaki disease. It's not just about dying 'cause of love. It's a brutal torture day by day. It intervenes into the patient's life, messing up their routines and themselves both physically and mentally, which is why it will deal with the topic depression. I hope my book will give this bad feeling through and making it able to understand the topic's darkside and how brutal hanahaki can really be. If you think about it, it's like being forced to drown from time to time.
