Prior to that, you knew that you were resistant to flames but you had not trained your pyrokinetic abilities because you didn't see a need to. At 17 you decided you wanted to become a nurse and work in a hospital because you wanted to help people heal and feel better. You were a stubborn person when it came to your morals, if something felt wrong you would stand your ground. Here you were, at 23 standing in front of Company 8's Station.
