When they first met, Kaelyn protected Alex from the bullies who teased him about his accent. Ten years later, it was his turn to protect her: from her abusive boyfriend and from herself. 

Now it's the summer of 2006. Alex, Jack, Rian and Zack have all graduated from high school and are ready to set off on their very first Warped Tour. Kaelyn tags along, as do her best girl friends, Lisa and Kara. Alex is still in love with Kaelyn, but her eyes are on someone new: Zack. Will Alex be able to tell Kaelyn how he really feels, or will he only drive her away with his jealousy and protectiveness?
