#1 in halfangel Jan 4, 2020 🥰!! → He slid himself closer to her in the sand and wrapped his coat around her shoulders. "All the stories you've heard since you were a child are true. Demons, warlocks, werewolves, all true." He held on to the ends of the jacket, their faces close again. Her breathing became unsteady. She tried to understand, to believe the things he was telling her. She needed to know the answer to the question that haunted her most. "Your mark," She let her fingertips touch it again, his skin warm, though this time nothing happened. "What is it?" "It's the mark of the angel. An angel's wing and a sword of light." He said in a softer voice now. He could feel the light, soft touch of her fingertips against his skin. His heart began to beat faster, his skin humming. ◦◌☾ ❂◌◦ "You let him die. You let my father die," Elle said quietly. Her mother gasped. "I didn't let him die-" "I saw it. I saw you go through the portal and leave him behind." "Elle I didn't let him die he stayed back to protect you, he-" So many thoughts and memories rushed through her mother's mind. "What do you mean you've seen it? How could you possibly-" "The Grotto of Truth." Her mother's eyes widened. "I went there. I saw everything. I felt them take him like part of my heart was ripped out of me. I saw you run away to a wizard who took the mark from me. If you hadn't done that I wouldn't have felt crazy my whole life." ◦◌☾ ❂◌◦ "Dad?" "I am so proud of you." He said, his eyes tearing. A tear escaped Elle's eyes as she felt warmth begin to seep back in. "I-" Her father's words were cut short and the chill took over her entire body again. Blood began to pour from his mouth, drip from his eyes, nose and ears as she looked down and saw a blade protruding from his heart. ◦◌☾ ❂◌◦ Rankings that made me smile! #1 in halfangel 🥰 #40 in demonhunters #49 in nephilim #50 in evilvsgood #70 in angelsvsdemons #72 in angelvsdemon

The snow never forgets. That's the first thing they learned when they found her- half-dead, half-shadow, and entirely silent. She wore a scar like a warning. She had no name... or too many. And her eyes? Storm-grey. Unbothered. Unblinking. Unforgiving. They chained her. Whipped her. Tried to break her open like a confession. She smiled instead. They said she was a terrorist. A spy. A ghost. No one knew the truth. But when word spread that he was coming- The Director. The Ghost Hunter. Even the storm outside quieted. Because some stories aren't just secrets. They're scars with a heartbeat. And this one? It started with a girl on her knees... and ends when they both stop breathing.
