You've probably heard this all before, but....
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock has done the unspeakable - befriended a dragon. And not just any dragon, but a Night Fury, the offspring of lightning and death itself.
When coming first in Dragon-training and having to kill a dragon as his final task, Hiccup decides to run away from Berk, with his Night Fury Toothless, never to return.
Or so he thought...
