It's been six months since Ellie's faked death, and nothing anymore is as it seems.

Her sister is power-hungry, her father is satanical, and her mother is obsessive.

Time is running out to stop her father's mission of spreading his genetically-modifying virus, but with the Prophets to worry about and a world that thinks she's dead, there's so much else to take care of first. However, as she finds out, she can't do it alone, and she can't do it as the unfeeling killer her mother is trying to make her. So that leaves only one option.

Ellie risks everything by running away, but together again, her and August may just find a way to stop her insane family.

If they don't die first, that is.

*to be edited: please excuse any continuity errors and / or mistakes in regards the writing quality of Hades* Ellie is just like every other normal eighteen year old girl in the world, except for one big reason. She's the daughter of Hades. And an immortal goddess in charge of managing suicide in the world. And she's been locked in the darkness of the Underworld for her entire life. So basically, her life couldn't get any more abnormal if she tried. Ellie longs to experience life like everybody else her age, but for as long as she can remember her parents haven't let her travel up to the surface, and she's been forced to imagine the upper world through the stories her mother told and the books she read. Until, one day, her parents finally give in and let her go up to the surface to see the world through her own eyes, and her world explodes with colour. Then, just when she thinks her life couldn't get more exciting, she stumbles across a very particular green-eyed god; one who throws her perfectly organised world into complete chaos and shows her what it means to live in the light. But what Ellie doesn't know, is that the Fates have a prophecy for her. A prophecy that she couldn't escape if she tried. A prophecy that has tangled it's gnarled fingers into the threads of her life, and may just throw the world into the darkness Ellie has spent her whole life trying to escape. "He's the son of Aphrodite, she's the daughter of Hades. He's light, she's the oncoming darkness. He advocates for love, she's the embodiment of death. What could possibly go wrong?" 29 parts Complete Mature
First book in the subject 001 series Subject 001 was never meant to exist. Born from E.D.E.N.'s most ambitious experiment and abandoned just as quickly, Ellie is the girl whispered about in locked rooms and classified files-the mistake too powerful to control, the anomaly that terrifies even the people who created her. After a lifetime of confinement, Ellie escapes into a world she was taught to fear, only to discover it's nothing like the sterile halls she grew up in. With Ava, Mia, Noah, and Liam-kids just as broken, brilliant, and dangerous as she is-Ellie begins to unravel the truth behind the experiments that stole their childhoods. But E.D.E.N. isn't done with them. Hunted by the Governor and the adults who shaped them, manipulated by shadows wearing familiar faces, and haunted by the dark promise Henry whispers about destroying E.D.E.N. together, Ellie is forced into a deadly game of survival where trust is a luxury and power is a curse. As her abilities grow-and her memories return-Ellie must face the truth buried in her bloodline: She wasn't created to save the world. She was created to end it. And in the fight between what she was made to be and who she chooses to become... only one version of her can survive. ----------------------------------- W A R N I N G T H I S S T O R Y C O N T A I N S : → Mild Violence →explicit language → Mild Child neglect ------------------- H I G H E S T R A N K I N G S : 546 #dystopian 25 #Anomaly (most impressive ranking) 2 #powerfulgirl 6 #undergroundworld 2 #geneticengineering ---------------- S T A R T E D →18/8/25 C O M P L E T E → 10/9/25 WORD COUNT : 22.8k
