From Another World

[Series I-Episode I]

Elisabeth notices an outdated police box while wandering through 1977 England. She investigates, discovering it's a time machine. An alien called The Doctor enters it, trying in vain to calm her down. In a panic she hits a button, transporting them to 1950s Antarctic research station. After being arrested they realise stone aliens called Weeping Angels are chasing down and attacking the various staff.
