Masaru leads a life of anger, a thirst for revenge, and a hunger for power which fuels his motives. He resides in a small town in the Village Hidden in the Mist region, and mainly keeps to himself. However, this misunderstood man is not as misunderstood as he thinks; not to Reiku. She's a quiet and kind woman with a certain sadness that Masaru hasn't known of for the years that he's known her. What will happen when a calm yet beautiful lake and a raging, devastating river finally meet in the middle? Will the calm lake ease this raging river, or will the strong river conquer the weak lake, and diminish all of its serenity?
