Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has done the unspeakable- befriended a dragon. And having come first in Dragon-training, means that he now has to kill one. But Hiccup can't kill a dragon, so he plans to run away with his Night Fury, Toothless.

When Astrid finds out about Toothless, Hiccup convinced her of the dragon's loyalty and they become friends. When she learns what Hiccup plans to do, she demands to come with him. After a lot of arguing, he eventually agrees, and they leave Berk that night, hoping never to return.

5 years later, Hiccup and Astrid have settled down on a new island known as "The Edge" and have a small child of their own. 

Their new lives are interrupted, however, when a certain group of teens and a blacksmith wash up on the shores of The Edge. A group of people they hoped never to see again.

Now, he's eighteen years old whose desperate to live his life. With so many people after him, his father forces Hiccup to stay on Berk until he finds a man whom he refuses to talk about. Hiccup begins to suffer from night terrors that make him want to stay along with battling his own mental condition. The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him. But now, now he finds the blessings in the curse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I really hope you enjoy this fanfic!! It focus' on Hiccup being a bit more than human.
