Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III has done the unspeakable- befriended a dragon. And having come first in Dragon-training, means that he now has to kill one. But Hiccup can't kill a dragon, so he plans to run away with his Night Fury, Toothless.

When Astrid finds out about Toothless, Hiccup convinced her of the dragon's loyalty and they become friends. When she learns what Hiccup plans to do, she demands to come with him. After a lot of arguing, he eventually agrees, and they leave Berk that night, hoping never to return.

5 years later, Hiccup and Astrid have settled down on a new island known as "The Edge" and have a small child of their own. 

Their new lives are interrupted, however, when a certain group of teens and a blacksmith wash up on the shores of The Edge. A group of people they hoped never to see again.

The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him. Yes, it's another one of these but I really wanted to do another one and hopefully better than the other one. "What if we left for good?" "What do you mean?" Hiccup was planning to run away but now that Astrid knows his secret, he doesn't know what to do. Then Astrid comes up with a crazy idea that might just save them. They leave for good. Or that's what they thought. 7 years later, Hiccup and Toothless along with Astrid and Stormfly crash land on berk and chaos ensues and probably the greatest threat they would ever have to face. All characters are owned by dreamworks and/or Cressida Cowell. I just own this storyline.
