After graduating high school, Celeste and her best friend Lexie decide to move to Los Angeles. Celeste is a 20, soon to be 21, year old who is trying to figure life out, all while balancing work, a social life (more like the start of one), and her inner demons. Her best friend, Lexie, seems to have her life all put together, working and thriving as a freelance makeup artist and content creator. Celeste wants to get back into writing poetry in hopes of turning it into a career but hasn't done so in years due to a lack of inspiration and motivation.
Fast forward to living in a LA for a little over a year now and the two best friends have befriended a group of guys in a band who are trying to make it big in the industry. Lexie and the bass player hit it off and make it official. Celeste has very little to almost no experience with guys, so she tends to feel a bit insecure and shy when it comes to love and relationships. She thinks love just isn't for her and has accepted it at this point in her life, that is until she comes face-to-face with the band's newest lead guitarist and singer, Danny, one night before the band's concert.
One minute Danny is acting sweet and caring, and maybe a tad bit possessive, and the next he's cold and distant and pushing those around him away. He wants to let her in, but he has his own secrets and demons telling him he's better off being alone for the rest of his life. Celeste is too curious for her own good and is determined to figure him out, but what she ends up finding out isn't what she was expecting at all.
