Wolf and a Mask (Redone)

Broken off from the rest of society, a village with a medieval frame of mind grounded itself in the heart of a large, unexplored forest. Here, the townsfolk never strayed too far from home, and public killings due to suspected witchcraft was common.

Being the child of 'witches' or the product of an alchemy mistake branded one a life of many hardships. Those deemed 'unholy' or 'lost from god' were sought and killed, no questions asked.
Luna, a child conceived through experimental witchcraft that granted her wolf-like abilities was plunged into said life, all alone.

The girl grew up with the earth and trees, depending on herself. She caught her own food, shed her own skin, built her own life upon bruised and strong shoulders. Though she carried on with success, she found herself stuck after a gruesome run in with a mob of townsfolk that left her for dead. For the first time, she needed someone.

But, her savior is nothing short of a monster himself, one of the many creatures that the townsfolk fear. One of the many creatures who feed on human lives.

Luna knows he's a killer, knows he's responsible for lives of dozens, but she also knows he saved her, and that not everything in her life is about survival.

(AN: ok so! this is obviously a remake of my old story, so i hope this one is more well liked. about the timeline, i know it makes no sense. none of the characters should be there at the same time, i know, but this story calls for it so please just try and pretend theyre all there at the same time. )
