When Logan's friend and college roommate, Roman Prince, is thrust into a Penpal project that he won't shut up about, it takes Logan all he has to not strangle him if he has to listen to him squeal one more time. In order to not kill his friend, he's resulted in going down to a cafe near the college called Pattoncake's Cafe. Only when he got there and spent quite a bit of time at his booth did he realize that the cute boy at the counter was actually the owner of the establishment.
Logan swore to himself that he would not enter another relationship again. He wouldn't allow himself to get hurt like that again, wouldn't give anyone that kind of power. In order to keep your heart from getting broken, it's best to pretend you have no heart at all. But when Patton began to wiggle his way through the thick barriers Logan built up, it takes all he has to keep him shut out. But how much longer can his defenses last before the whole wall comes crumbling down?
This takes place in the same timeline as My Anxious Penpal | A Prinxiety Story, but it can be read as a stand-alone. The art is not mine. Everything goes to their respectful owners. The only thing I own is the story itself (i.e. the plot, the writing, etc.) Enjoy!

When Roman gets a penpal for his college English Lit class, he isn't all too happy about who he's gotten. His penpal is mysterious, angsty, and he doesn't seem all that friendly, but he is determined to get passed that tough exterior. But it doesn't help that he refuses to tell Roman his name. Virgil wasn't all too surprised about a random letter showing up at his house. He was already made aware of the penpal assignment that Mr. Sanders was doing for his English class and got his permission to give him to one of his student who he believed they would "make a great pair". In this world, you learn of your soulmate at age 16. You get an hour in their body per soulmate - it's only in a dream world similar to reality, though. On Logan's birthday, he, Roman, Patton, and Virgil get their dreams. It is customary to leave a basic introduction card next to your bed, as the Dream Scape copies reality. One of the four, however, gives no hint to who he is. Follow the group as they begin the search for each other. There are trigger warnings by chapter. After reviewing the Wattpad guidelines, I have decided it is best if I add a Mature warning to this story. The Borrower and the Fairy Prince
*Completed* Virgil has never had it easy, not since he was kicked out of his home by his own father. He's struggled to survive, and has fought for food. He sees what should have been an easy meal, some berries on a tree hanging over the river. It should have been easy to get it, of course the stupid branch had to break and he was sent plummeting into the river. Roman loves to sneak away from his colony and his fae duties to head to the river, he's always wondered what is on the other side of it. Of course, he and everyone else in his colony is banned from crossing it. One day though, a stranger with no wings and a tail washes up on the river bank. When he takes him back to the colony, he's put in charge of taking care of him. Thomas has inherited his home from family, it's in the middle of nowhere in a forest. It was nice, and not too far from his home is a nice river he can explore. Of course it can't be so simple though, since Thomas is in debt and could very well lose the home. Not wanting to lose a home that had been in his family for so long, he struggles to find some way to pay it off. Roman, the young and popular dashing king is lonely and is in search of a queen or king. The two bump into each other on accident and worlds collide between the two. When Virgil's master finds out it only brings hell for the star-cross lovers with a curse and a whole lot of trouble standing in the way between the two.
