The Next Step TV show reimagined as if it was made for the new adult genre. Lots more drama and scandal. The book is loosely inspired by the plot of season one of The Next Step, however it is not necessary to have seen the show as it is a complete revamp of the original show, which is a children's show that I have reimagined as if it were made for the new adult genre. This book follows mature themes.

Absolute Dance international champions The Next Step hope to keep their title by getting to internationals a second time. But first they must compete at Nationals - as the new dance season kicks in the next step is faced with many problems all around and the team must unite together to find a solution. It is also clear that the A troupe that won Regionals won't make the cut and Riley holds auditions for a new team. New enemies and friendships will become made aswell as the reunion with some others. Can the next step win nationals and move on to internationals a second time? This is set after season 4 I'm based in the London so I havnt seen seasons 4 yet so if this makes no sense or doesn't fit in with wjay has happened in season 4 THAT'S WHY

Riley Raymond is a part of A Troupe, which, after winning Nationals, are now invited to the most prestigious competitions in the country, heading to Internationals and have the strongest team The Next Step has ever seen. Riley's relationship with her boyfriend James couldn't be better and, although they're not without their arguments, she knows her sister Emily cares about her. But the past can't be changed. Riley isn't the girl she was 4 years ago - events and people have certainly made sure of that. But she wouldn't show her weaknesses now, she knows letting people in can only get you hurt. And she's not the only one with problems. At the same time, Emily is struggling to cope on her own at home, when everyone is out, getting on with their lives. Restricted to the confinement of their house, she's slowly going slightly crazy.
