This story is about how a young girl survived her abusive father through learning. When she was a little girl her family was very poor, and the death of her mother did not help at all. That is what has triggered her fathers to be abusive. There were times when Amy thought about just ending it all just like that. But the gentle voice of her mother and her last words would always ring in her ear. "Stay Strong". So she did and she also thought that things in her life would never change. That was until the start of her senior year, she met a very interesting teacher, Mr. Conwell.
