Her eyes captured his and for a moment he could have sworn he was looking into the depths of the universe, he could have sworn that time stood still and space itself shifted around them. She blinked and the light in them was gone in an instant releasing him from his reverie with a sigh. He took a long painful breath and scanned her face with interest trying to regain that state of bliss. Her eyes were as pained and deep as they had always been, her stare became guarded as she noticed his intent, her eyebrows snapped into a frown and her full lips slightly parted maybe in protest but closed just as fast. The right corners of her mouth twitched into a small smile and then her whole face became blank, the utter definition of indifference.
