It's hatred at first sight, but it will eventually change into something none of them would ever have imagined. Set in the 18th century, the two political enemies will have to overcome their own fears and to hide their love, while trying to build their new nation. Alex's heart stopped and he felt his blood running cold into his veins - what should he do? Should he nonchalantly walk out of that damned alley, or run away, or what? He was trying to think fast, but in the end he just stayed there, frozen on his spot by Jefferson's smug stare. For what it seemed to be a lifetime, Thomas's brown eyes held his gaze, tying Alexander's blue, wide eyes to his, reading his very soul like an open book. He's also an orphan, and he's been bouncing around foster homes since he was about 11. In all of them, he's been abused, one way or another. He's been in about 7 different homes by now, and his current one doesn't seeeem so bad. But you never know. He's 14, and and has been jumped ahead a few years in school. He will face many struggles along the way, but he will rise up above them to take his shot. And one day, he will blow us all away. He's smart, shy, and a huge bookworm. So you wouldn't expect him to get so close to the loud mouth, bratty, Virginian girl, right?
