"What are you doing here?!"

"Well, Hi Emily. Before you start getting angry, let me just let you know that I'm also really fiesty and I can lose my temper too."

Ellis is getting closer to Emily now as he speaks his mind. "Do you know how inconvenienced I've been just to find you?
I'm about to get a scolding from my father and best friends because of you."

He corners her to a wall and raises his hand to block her from running out.

Emily's face turns pale all of a sudden and she feels some chills run down her body and her spine. Her lips are dry and at this point she doesn't understand why Ellis hasn't kissed her already.

Ellis can tell now that Emily really wants a kiss and he gets close to her as if about to kiss her, then he gives a coy smile and then moves away from Emily.

"Emily, about what you're doing," he started, his tone somewhat stern. "This sneaky journalist approach, digging into my past, isn't going to get you anywhere." Emily looked taken aback by his harsh tone and quietly replied. "I'm just doing my job, Mr Carrington." "Your job is, to tell the truth, right?" he asked, leaning closer. "Then how about this - why don't you talk to me directly about what you want to know instead of interrogating my friends?" Taken aback by his directness, Emily blinked at him, her surprise visible in her wide eyes. Alex watched as she quickly regained her composure, her professional facade falling into place. *** Why are you still here Mr Wellington?" I asked as I clutched my bathrobe to cover my body well. I don't want the scenario of my bathrobe falling off. "You've not answered me, who's that guy?" He asked "You mean Darlington?" "Da... What?" He raised his brows "You heard me, I work for you Mr Wellington, as your PA, you have no right to ask me about my private life, who I hang out with or talk to isn't your business! I don't poke my nose in your affairs so don't poke your nose in mine!" I shot at him in anger. "Listen you have every right to be mad at me and I don't blame you, I just need you to listen to me" he said firmly "Whatever you say won't change anything Mr Wellington" "Great! I'm sick and tired of trying to reason with you, I'm not interested in explaining myself anymore, but I want you to know one thing, strong relationships are built on the foundation of trust, relationships without trust or forgiveness are bound to fail, just like ours" he said and stormed out I slumped on my bed and different thoughts ran through my mind. His statement echoed in my head "strong relationships are built on the foundation of trust, relationships without trust or forgiveness are bound to fail, just like ours" *** Read and enjoy DEPTH OF PAIN #51- adc... out of 292 stories (december 1st 2018)
