Nathan spent the past few years annoying the crown to try and convince them to approve an expedition to find the treasure of the once mighty tribes of the east lands. He than meets Amare, the slave boy that joins him on the expedition. So how is it that broke Nathan suddenly finds something, or rather someone he values more than gold? Will a past quarrel between Amare and a family member of Nathan's get in the way of their blossoming romance? Or will Amare's feeling towards Nathan do a full one eighty?

After the boy leaves the dragon eats the meet and falls asleep, when he wakes up he realised that the boy must have returned after the dragon gave him a piece of treasure and had taken everything.
