they've defeated the neverseen, and it has cost them everything - keefe, biana, fitz, and so many more. and in the end, it leaves the survivors questioning whether this broken, shattered world was worth it.

sophie took it the hardest. the neverseen promised her that destroying them would come at a high price, and it did. weakened by a drug they've concocted, her powers have vanished, leaving her talentless. with their precious moonlark borderline insane, the black swan does the only thing they can do: release her back into the forbidden cities.

and pray that their moonlark will be reborn.
