Lily is a shy girl with low expectations. Her parents divorced when she was sixteen and they continuously fought over the phone since her mother moved out immediately. After 2 years of fighting, it became too much and Lily tried to kill herself, tired of hearing her parents fight about how much of a problem she seemed to be. She failed in the deed and she was committed to rehab. After being released from rehab six months later, she moved out of her dad's house, unable to deal with his horrible drinking problem. Now, Lily lives in the city alone, desparately trying to find some way to enjoy life but having a hard time doing so. Lily doesn't see herself as someone who can be loved. What will she do in this low point in her life? She has no clue.

Carter is a boy that had everything given to him in life. His dad had given him everything he ever wanted yet he never asked for anything. He began to cause trouble as he got older and barely got out of high school with a diploma. At nineteen years old, he moved out of his dad's house and now lives on his own, trying to find a calling in life through music. Love was never a factor in his life, not wanting to be tied down.
