I'll Never Forget

Or maybe we're meant to meet and just remain best friends. Go to her." Echo whispers silently. But loud enough for him to hear. Yet, he couldn't bare to leave them here. Not at the time ticking away. He needs to confess. He has to.
"Sweetness, nothing can compare you to her. It's you, that I love. You, I care for. Someone other than Blue. The one I will always choose to be by. I don't care about the scars, your stretch marks, your height, weight, or anything you deem imperfect. To me they're all perfections in my eyesockets. You are breathtaking and beautiful in my eye sockets!" He shouted to them the last part. Hoping it could get through to their soul. Wanting to feel that vibrant and loving vibration from their soul.

At that, Echo turns around, facing towards him. Breath caught in their chest. Tears; once again, streaming down their cheeks. As they slowly placed their hands over their mouth to stop the shaking breath from coming out. Failing in the end.
At that, Papyrus takes the last remaining steps, wrapping his arms around them, and proceeds to embrace them tightly. As if they were going to disappear like a ghost in the past. At this point in time, he wanted to cherish this last moment, before the rift back to their home opened.

'Now or never Papyrus. tell them now!' He thought, keeping them in his hold.

This whole thing about shifting into a fictional world, makes me feel less confident... So I have opted to make a one-shot. And it became more like a slow burn, with comfort.
