The escape, a long bus ride and the night in a sleazy motel.
So begins Tekla's new life, away from her alcoholic mother and the man who ruined her body and childhood when she was only ten years old.
After graduation, she decides to move to Texas and start over. She meets real friends, finds a job and takes classes in college, like any nineteen-year-old girl.
One Friday night, at a club, she runs into a blond guy with a big tattoo on his right arm. The same arm that, a week later, will save her from a disastrous fall.
His name is Jamie Miller and he goes to the same college as her. He's the classic beautiful and damned, always surrounded by girls and involved in illegal racing. For this reason, Tekla will accept to hang out with him. She desperately needs adrenaline and Jamie is her only available source.
But, soon, she will see his fragile and good side, which will lead her to fall in love with him.
