When they were in high school, Olive Greenwood and River Byrne were inseparable. She was the Student Council and he was the nice athlete. Between books and games, their friendship was solid. When they had to leave for college, though, things changed: River got a scholarship and moved to Houston, with a promise to always some back to New York to visit Olive, who was going to get her Political Science Major at NYU. But time passes and visits quickly get from scarce to non-existent. Many years pass and River, after some serious shoulder injury followed by a public doping scandal, moved back to his old town, where his family still had a property, to hide for a while. There, he finds Olive again, working, living and loving other people. River's breakdown is the chance he needed to reconnect with happier times and a better self.
Meanwhile, Olive lives a simple life, without any luxuries nor drama, fully focused on her social projects and political work. The return of Dylan, now a famous athlete and a rich man, is, for sure, going to mess up the balance of her life.
This is a story about making choices, dealing with consequences and learning to start over.

🌸 So far, so good. Despite everything, Madeline's still standing, still living - though her life has been upended more than once. Moving from America to England wasn't exactly easy but oddly enough, the return was much simpler. With little more than the bare minimum from her parents, and diabetes always complicating things, she had to rely on her brother for real help. Now, as she steps back into Nashville, she wonders how this might realign her path. Somehow, everything feels like it's falling into place. She's exactly where she needs to be - though there's one complication : a boy. Something she didn't planned at all. And maybe he's part of the plan, too. Maybe for the better. 🏒 Hockey has always been one of Jude's greatest loves, ever since he can remember. And to be blunt, he's damn good at it. But don't mistake him for the typical player type you read about in books. He doesn't have girls lining up outside his door, and when there is someone, he treats her right - once, and only once. It's a rule he set for himself. He met his best friend Colin during a hockey game, both rooting for opposite teams. Colin was on the wrong side, of course, but somehow, they became inseparable. Colin has diabetes, so over time, he learned how to help. What he didn't expect was for that knowledge to help him with a girl. A girl more complicated than any genetic disease. But maybe that's a challenge worth taking. ° ° ° Welcome to this new book. Please don't forget to vote, comment and share ❤️
