Kyoko, Tohru's mom, has a younger sister named Momoko. Last time they had a proper talk Tohru was just a year old,and doesn't remember her aunt. Momoko was not really pleased with her sister when she got married and left her with their cruel parents. As a result Momoko did not want anything to do with Tohru, but one day she had a terrible argument with her parents and was terrified. She went to her sister to hide till things cooled of.
Momoko was friends with the "three musketeers" Shigure, Ayame and Hatori. Without anyone knowing, Momoko knew of their family secret.Momoko has been in the military for five years now and had to find out by her sisters land lady that she has been dead for a year. That hurt her more than anything, her brother in laws family never told her.
She trying to make things better with Tohru, but once she found out Tohru lives with Shigure she wanted to strangel him. Join her as she tries to be a good aunt she can be, and how she deals with her feelings for Shigure.

She got her happily ever after with Kyo, the cat in the zodiac family. You see, she met Kyo when her mother died and her grandfather was renovating the house. She didn't have a place to go until Yuki Soma invited her to stay at his and Shigure's place as long as she helped clean. The only problem was the family curse. When ever a member of the Soma family cursed by the zodiac was hugged by the opposite sex, they would transform into one of the zodiac animals. She had to keep it a secret. Not soon after, Kyo began to live there too. The only problem was that Kyo was the worst cursed of all. He had the curse of the cat. The curse of the cat meant that not only did he have his form of being a cat when hugged by a girl, he also turned into a monstrous creature whenever he wasn't wearing his beaded bracelet. Tohru, after seeing his form, accepted it. Kyo finally was able to open up to someone, and that someone was Tohru Honda. This began the lift off the curse.
