Catalyst frontman Trey is no stranger to chaos, but even the life of a rock star couldn't prepare him for the consequences of loving a vampire. Trey's life is in danger; threatened by the very group he must join to stay alive. His struggle to continue his career and release a new album with the band is marred by events that force him to ask a powerful Synod Elder for help.

Aurora has to keep Trey alive until she can make him a vampire, but her own kind will stop at nothing to prevent it. The head of the Emissary is having her followed, and if she can't figure out who is behind the violent attacks, Trey might not make it to the full moon. As Aurora battles her own kind, she's also plagued by the risk she's taking by changing Trey. Will her moon-given power be enough to carry Trey through the change, or will he be left floating in the wake of destruction?

He walks forward, pressing the blade into his throat. His skin is taunt against the serrated edge, and blood beads around it until it drips down his neck in a crimson trail. My eyes widened, wanting it. He is looking at me with those dangerous, glinting green eyes, daring me. "Kill me, then. If you feel nothing, you can kill me. Then you can leave. The choice is up to you. It always has been," He whispers. His words leave me as cold as the blade at his throat. My heart is subjected to this stabbing pain, like I'd turned the knife on myself, and I would rather it be like that. "But if you don't," he whispers," you are mine and all mine. We will rule the dawn of a new age, we will complete our bond, and you will forget about her. Make your choice." I can hear my heart beat in my ears, and I swallow agaisnt the rush. These are my options. Kill him, or agree to be his. I make my own choice. I can not take my freedom away. I can not be the mate he wants, but I can not kill him. With a deep breath, I turn the knife on myself. Aurora, a girl with only one name and abandoned at birth in a war torn land, finds herself lost in a sea of witches, drowning in everything she can never have. Or so she thinks, the night a divine interference rips her from her home leads to a butterfly effect of deadly, chaotic spirals. Something dwells in the unknown shadows of Aurora's soul, something lurking just behind the screen of consciousness, something passed down through the generations as greater beings try to avoid the annihilation of our world. Is she just another part of the fall out, another victim to an unending tragedy between two cosmic beings? There's only one thing that can help her, and it stands before her in the form of a green eyed werewolf mercilessly killing the witches she's grown up loving. She thinks he can protect her, but what will she do when he needs protection...from her? #12 in destruction #11 in strife

Dasher doesn't know how he ended up in Columbia, South Carolina, but he made it there after his family was brutally murdered in front of him--and he's going to be turning into a werewolf in three days. After the entire Coven was murdered by the La Luna werewolves, the power--and responsibility --went to Eden. Tasked with moving to a different state and rebuilding a Coven that no one wants to join, the last thing she needs is to take in her half-wolf, half-witch cousin, Dasher. But what else can she do? She can't turn him away. Dasher's mom has always protected him from the werewolves after him, although he never knew. But now that he is one, he can't exactly run from his destiny any longer--and when he mates with the Alpha's intended bride, things get a whole lot more complicated for him. Eden has nothing but determination to restore the Coven to its former glory, even as she's finding ways to keep Dasher safe, fighting against La Luna's Alpha, Fenley, and figuring out what, exactly, is her role in the entire thing. Life only becomes more complicated when Dasher mates with Fenley's intended bride and Eden has to ally with the same wolves that slaughtered her Coven. But nothing is as it seems, and the more twisted it becomes the more secrets are uncovered. Dasher knows that, no matter what the outcome is, a lot of blood is going to be spilled. And Eden, ever the optimist, knows that, no matter what the outcome is, a lot of wine is going to be drunk.
