When humans almost destroyed the world, the supernatural took over. With the vampires being more populated out of the supernaturals, they ruled the world. The humans remained living their lives as long as they contribute in some way. Those that are criminals, homeless, or refused to fall in line, they become slaves, or pets to the vampires. Some are used for blood, others are used for sex. It's become a norm for decades. Every Noble or Royal has at least one human pet, besides the Princess. 

The King is a Fallen Angel and His Queen is the last Pureblood Vampire in existence. They have a son and a daughter. The prince is a Fallen Angel, like his father. The princess, she is one of a kind. She is the only Hybrid Princess in the world. Hybrids are extremely rare, if one is born, it gets sick and dies within a few months of life. The princess is the only one that survived the sickness. 

As the King and Queen prepare for the princess's 100th birthday, they decided to throw a ball where all of the nobles are welcomed. The catch is that they must bring their human pets for the princess will choose one. Despite the princess not wanting a pet, the King and Queen insist as it's her birthday present.
