Early 19th century Spain.
Maricruz wants a place to belong. Somewhere that will accept her gifted eyes that can see into people's hearts and read their deepest desires. She's convinced her place is somewhere beyond the manor walls she grew up in, but her adoptive mother has other plans. When all of Maricruz's attempts to sabotage her adoptive mother's plans to marry her off fail, she begins to give up hope of ever finding her true place in the world. Until a mysterious white tiger reveals itself to her. Turns out, Maricruz is half-pixie, and the pixies want her to come home. Finally, it seems Maricruz's wish has come true.
Her joy is short-lived, however, when the pixies reveal they need her to save their race by becoming their Pixie Mother. After she becomes a full pixie, of course--a process all the half-pixies before her haven't survived. Determined to escape her possible death, Maricruz strikes a deal to cure the pixies infertility in exchange for her freedom. With her dear friend Mateo, and her new companion Silvio by her side, Maricruz prays she'll survive the dangers of the magical world long enough to find her true place.

"Are you an angel?" Virgo asked cautiously. The white headed girl looked back at Virgo and her brother. "Angels don't exist. The sooner you accept that, the easier it gets." "Then who are you?" Virgo asked, following her some more. The white headed girl had a twinge if sympathy in her eyes. "Names have power, kid. It's best you don't know mine." "Then what are you?" Virgo demanded, sick of this girls games. Her brother held onto her arm. "Most kids know us now as the monster under the bed. The demon willing to drag you to the pits of hell," the girl explained. "But there are no such things as demons and angels. Life isn't that black and white." ------------- There is a town where children are snatched from their beds in the night. There is a town where mothers fear their children are next to go. There is a town where windows and doors remained lock in fear of what may come through them in the dead of night, when nobody is a awake, when nobody will hear a scream. There is a place where monsters and saviors of fairy tales lurk. Where they live and thrive. Where there are lonely sirens, angry fae, and annoying pixies. Such place does exist, I promise, but only if you know where to look. Two children kidnapped in the dead of night. A rein of evil over the land. Twelve people who cannot stop arguing in the midst of it all. Folklore Forest is about to be overrun by a whole new crazy. In which a boy who thinks he controls everything meets the girl who actually does. --- Peter Pan is king of Neverland, a mystical island of his own creation. His Lost Boys serve as his troops and have been his only company for the last millennium. Until his shadow brought a girl to Neverland, by the name of Wendy Darling. But she's not the one this story's about. Why? It's simple. Because she's dead. She broke Peter's heart, so he killed her. Only he and the Lost Boys know what happened the night Wendy disappeared, and Peter means to take the secret to his grave, assuming he ever dies, of course. If the Lost Boys know what's good for them, they will too. None of the other creatures on the island have any idea of what became of the one girl who had ever set foot on Neverland. However, what at first seems to be a siren with a know-it-all attitude threatens to change all that. She knows exactly why Peter's heart is shattered. But what she wants to do with that information is, for the very first time, is absolutely unclear to Peter. That doesn't sit well with the Ruler of Neverland. And whatever doesn't sit well with Peter, he either figures it out or kills it. The problem is, he can't seem to manage to do the first option, and for some reason, can't bring himself to do the second. --- Dea: Goddess [Latin]
