Veiled in Light and Ruin
Every year, Lyra's village gathers beneath the ancient statues of the Fates, offering prayers and sacrifices to keep the creeping darkness at bay. The Ruined Kingdom stands in the distance, a forbidden place where no one enters and no one leaves. A place ruled by a king who does not age, does not die, and does not care for the world beyond his walls. Lyra has never believed in fate, only in survival. With her mother's health failing, she is willing to do whatever it takes to save what little she has left. But when this year's ritual goes terribly wrong, Lyra is taken-ripped from the life she knows and thrust into the heart of a kingdom lost to time. There, she is told she has been chosen. That she, along with others, must vie for the favor of a king no one has seen in over a century. But something is wrong within the castle's walls. Whispers of the past haunt her steps, and the King-cold, untouchable, and shrouded in secrets-watches her too closely. As shadows stir and forgotten magic awakens, Lyra begins to question everything she's been told about the Ruined Kingdom. And, more importantly, about herself. Because the deeper she delves into the mystery of the King and the kingdom he rules behind the walls, the more she realizes: Some destinies are written in blood. And some fates are meant to be broken.
The Ties That Bind ( A Fire Emblem Awakening Story)
Robin: awakes in a strange land with no memories. Somehow recognizing the Prince of Ylisse she manages to make many friends and go on missions with them as a new tactician for the Shepherds. Strange things begin happening. Creatures came through a portal in the sky. Called Risen, they now plague the land, and they don't fear death. Their journeys leading them against great evils over many years. She learns of the value of the ties she has to people not through blood. She forages a family and a path all her own. Chrom: is optimistic as he meets a stranger in the fields. No matter their struggles, with the stranger 'Marth' who saves them from danger, the strange Creatures and Plegia. Chrom and Lissa still loose their older sister Emmeryn, resulting in Chrom and his new wife becoming rulers of Ylisse. The stranger who constantly shows up just in time, bears the mark of the exalt, and Chrom learns of a disturbing destiny in a dark future. The Shepherds and the new Exalt race to protect the future and everything they hold dear. Lucina: has come to the past to protect the future. She tries to avert the events that lead to her destroyed future with the deaths of her parents, as well as the resurrection of the Fell Dragon Grima. Though, traveling back she learns that her task of changing the future is daunting and not as easy as averting a single event. Time favors it's original course. This fic has been posted on Wattpad and AO3 under the username: justamethyst3 These are the only places this fic should be ~ * ~ Peace is difficult to maintain between two kingdoms just out of war. But with support from each other, Nohr and Hoshido seem to be almost thriving with how well they've turned around in the time since. And it all came to be with help from their half-sibling, Amethyst. But with internal struggles with herself and problems rising in the kingdoms again, the royal families are finding it difficult to keep everything calm. Not to mention, a familiar face they weren't expecting has shown up again, and threatens to break the peace they worked so hard for. Amethyst has no doubt, this won't be an easy task to finish up with all the conflict in her own mind. ~ * ~ This story takes place after Revelations, and has spoilers to all three Fire Emblem: Fates games in it! Amethyst is Corrin, so you can see her as such. She's just referred to as Amethyst since I wrote it as a comfort fic with an OC/self-insert for myself hehe ~ * ~ Gorgeous cover made by ImberLapis!
