It's 2043, and the world as we once knew it is now over. A deadly virus spread like wildfire in a supposedly 'top secret' research facility in Finland, which killed millions within the first few hours. These millions, however, didn't stay dead. They rose from the place in which they fell and now roam day and night looking for flesh of any kind to dampen their hunger. I've been running from them for nearly a year now. But they aren't the only ones I run from.

We've been captured, and are now caged.

The military has us as prisoners. But there is one that is different from the rest. 

One that has asked me to trust him. He wants to help me escape.
 
But how can I trust a man that has pointed a gun to my head?

Only one of them came back, two months was the longest we lasted before we were overpowered by them. Six years of living in this dysfunctional environment and my hatred had never dwindled. Some people still believed in god and had faith in him, I didn't know what I believed in but I prayed like everyone else that I would get through another day without hearing the soul crushing word 'Mate'. Trust is a word that can easily be broken through breath, but survival is a word that can only be broken by death. Nikolas Clover's goal was to keep his family safe as they joined the Advors, a group of humans against the Resinix alien race. However escaping from the Proditors, a group of humans who standby the Resinix, would be anything but easy. They lived in a small town in Colombia called Salento located North just off the edge of the Amazon Rainforest. The Advors remained hidden under the tall rainforest trees while the Resinix and Proditors ruled the rest of the Earth with an iron fist. The Clovers lived in hiding as they waited for their moment to leave the Proditor infested town. However, suspicion would soon arise. Escaping would feel like hell, but the thought of surviving would feel inconceivable. ~I've dedicated a song from YouTube that fits well with each chapter to enhance the reader experience if you choose to play it!
