On September 27th, 1986, Cliff Burton died in a tour bus accident. The other members of Metallica, Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, and Kirk Hammett have since hired three bassists in Cliff's place, but no one could replace the original bassist. It might seem as if the other members moved on, but they didn't the tragedy sticks with them, and will till they meet Cliff again, which could be sooner than possible.
