"We're all in the same game just different levels, dealing with the same hell just different devils." Once every year twenty students from ten different schools across the globe are chosen to compete in "The A Games" these games are designed to be lost. When seventeen year old Elliot finds herself chosen she is forced to put on a brave face and take control. The games are simple, the twenty students are placed in the middle of a giant maze and are given 336 hours to use the clues that they are given to find their way out, or be stuck in there forever.
