Parental Cognition

Shouta Aizawa and his husband Hizashi Yamada have been talking about the idea of children for a very long time. Aizawa works as a high school teacher in the local district, mostly teaching Social Studies and History, while Hizashi stays at home as a voice actor. He has worked with many creators on things such as Indie video games, and animated cartoons. Both are financially stable and are ready for a little one.

It is Aizawa who first brings up the idea of foster care. One of his students; Tenya Iida has a foster brother who will be moving shortly. The young Eijirou Kirishima is only 17 and has been moved around to roughly 23 different foster homes, it has become normal for the poor boy. In the modern world, it's unfortunately very difficult for a boy with special needs to find an adoptive family. After much discussion, Hizashi and Aizawa decide to foster Kirishima and help him in any way that they can. With Hizashi staying at home, it will be easy for him to provide Kirishima with all of the care that he needs.

Diagnosed with autism and developmental disabilities, Kirishima sees the world differently than most teenagers his age, but that doesn't make him any less intelligent or valuable. He's the sweetest boy in the entire world, and immediately becomes attached to Hizashi and Aizawa, who quickly end up adopting him into a forever home.
