While society is somewhat restored in certain states, Shirley finds herself in a predicament: her father has turned. And he hasn't eaten her. So she travels with dad from North Carolina to Florida, where her grandmother resides, all while outrunning infected, and uninfected, people who want to kill her zombie father -- and her.
