Evelynn Shermane is fourteen years old, and a care kid. Her mother was admitted to rehab when she was three years old, and has never seen her since.
Her brother Lee, seventeen, is at college up in Liverpool; living with his girlfriend who is pregnant with their child.
The eldest of them all, Jace, stationed over in Afghanistan; the navy.
Her world kept falling apart. She'd be fostered, then they'd bring her back to the care home. Nine times that had happened. But then a certain bunch of Aussie lads turn up and want to adopt the fourteen year old. But will she be let down again? Have her heart broken?
