    Annie Owens remembered bidding bye to her father, a kiss on the cheek and a fatherly smile. Daniel Owens had changed since the war. But not in the eyes of his most cherished child: Annie. 
    So at the age of eleven having to leave all she ever knew to pursue a life in a secluded village far away from her best-friend, and protected by her older brothers she didn't believe she would see him again.
