Tris is a young adult from Chicago, Illinois. She leaves her old home town to get away from her stuck-up parents and the death of her friend, Susan, and she moves to Portland, Oregon with 2 suitcases and 75 dollars. She is able to continue college and soon, with the help of her friend, Christina, she finds a job as a bartender and part-time dancer. She falls in love with it and shows everyone her true colors instead of being shy.
Everyone loves her, especially a certain dark brown, deep, blue-eyed boy named, Four. Follow Tris through parties, heartbreaks, jobs, college, and dancing at Burlesque. . . as the Outsider.

Tris Pedrad has two brothers. Zeke, who is two years older and Uriah, her twin. Of course they both are the annoying, protective older brother type. Her mom, Hana, is a single parent. She loves all he children but always tells Tris to not listen to her brothers. She wants her daughter to be independent and brave. Her dad, Evan, died when she was little in a train accident. Their plan to be back in time to celebrate Christmas with their friends turns to dust (or snow ;-) ) as they end up being snowed in together in an empty house. Hello everyone, this is a short Christmas story I decided to write spontaneously five days ago, inspired by the snowflakes I watched falling (peacefully though, without a storm) outside my window...
