Once caged and once freed, Amanda still struggles with the reality she is to face, one where just maybe, she really is insane. Or maybe, her mind is the keeper of something darker, sinister even. For the small town of Milton Oaks, crime is a non existent hassle. So when Amanda's memories seem to correlate with the events of the darkest nights in town history, she's left with a mystery on her hands. One that holds all the explanations she craved, for all the years plagued by those thoughts. But going down that route is a path of no return. The dates match. Everything added up. How could I not realize it? The bodies. The charges. The gossip. The rumours. The accuracy. The deaths. Every single body went missing. They were right, I should have listened. I knew something was weird, but not this bad. Church on Sundays, book club on Mondays, Bible study on Wednesdays, their kids' games on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Charity donations on Fridays, and dates on Saturdays. I guess its true what they say. The darkest souls own the brightest smiles. A light so captive, you don't even realize they've gotten so close. Don't even realize when you've befriended them and their darkness has touched you. So, Sometimes, to find the ugliest monster, you have to look in the mirror. P.S, the tags should serve as a warning as well. This story is my own, which means I own the characters, plot, etc. However, I did get some inspiration from James Patterson's WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB, just with a slight twist ;)
