Another burning sun rises over season seven, happy Hermits busily build away unaware of the danger that lurks so near. A past painfully springs to the surface as a certain Enderain is back to his old tricks.
The whole town goes crazy. Secrets revealed, backs knifed, friends scream. A short blonde builder the linchpin of it all.
They must use silly tactics, preserve through hopelessness, and sacrifice everything to protect their beautiful home of Hermitcraft!

Note: I'm writing this to get better at writing and I was inspired by HC to be more creative. This story is from the prospective of characters I created/YouTuber's personas, not the actual YouTubers. But there is no ships. I'm generally a PG writer. I just want to have fun pushing my creativity and expressing my gratitude for this content and the people behind it. Hope you enjoy!💕

Grian is having a great time in season 7 so far, until the rest of the hermits start to get more annoyed at him. Grian starts to have a more dark and depressing personality. He one day stumbles across a base in the nether that he had never seen before and decided to investigate it. Grian finds both Hels and Ex inside of the base and runs away. After a week, Grian runs into them again but this time something inside of him wants to trust them and befriend the two. Grian starts to avoid all the hermits after they start to be mean to him. Grian soon starts to have a monotone color palette like the demise game in season 6. Ex and Hels soon find him in his base like this and find out that the hermits were the cause of him being like this. Something happens to make Grian go over the edge and latch out at one of the Hermits. When trying to repair a mysteriously obsidian-clogged conduit, Impulse suddenly sees what appears to be a shark. Confused, he swims closer to get a better look... oh no. That's not a shark. As the creature tightens its hold on the server, bringing more and more of the Hermits under its control, and Tango turns up scared and with a broken arm, the message starts to become apparent: Trust no one. This book is a sequel to another of my stories, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, but you don't necessarily need to read that to understand most of what happens. ~The hermits had huddled around a large hole in the ground. At the bottom of the hole sat two people. One had bright orange hair with a face full of freckles and what seemed to be antlers sticking out of her hair. The other was facing away from Grian and was wearing a plain grey jacket with the hood pulled up over their head. They turned and met the builders gaze and time seemed to slow to a stop. Grian couldn't believe what he was seeing. He was standing face to face with a dead person~ Grian left Evo and joined the watchers, whom he then betrayed and in turn, they destroyed Evo and everyone in it. But that's not where the story ends, because when season 8 of hermitcraft rolls around, Grian is shocked to see a familiar face. But what he doesn't know is that this familiar face is there for a reason. Because the watchers wanted Grian back. everyone is doing it, and I also have a lot of ideas in my head. I'll try to write about everyone, but probably will stick to a few hermits since they are probably who I have the most ideas about. there will be no ships at all, everything is platonic and just some good old friends. This is my take on And the Universe Shifts if my OC was in it in the happenings of S7. (I suggest you go read ATUS first if you haven't. It's on Ao3) In this storyline, the Watchers weren't actually killed (I'll explain how and why later in the book). And they are the only two Watchers in existence (unlike the finale in ATUS, where Grian states that there will be more coming to claim the territory).
