safety net [a Harry Potter story]

Kathleen Black is a Hufflepuff, surprising I know. Her dad, Sirius Black has been absent for most of her life, raised by Remus and her late mom being a Hufflepuff has made her into the person she is today, hence her house. She has many Hufflepuff friends, a few Gryffindor ones as well. Inducted into a secret society in her fifth year, she knows everything. This is probably the most elite and prestigious secret society ever created in the wizarding world, or at least at Hogwarts. All of the great women had been in this society, there were only three women in it at a time. The three ruled Hogwarts, no one knew it but they did, of course there were rumors of its existence but no one knew for certain. Kathleen was the Hufflepuff representative and she was perfect, she was also a Prefect and on the Quidditch team. She was very close to a certain Hufflepuff seeker, they had been friends since their first year. Kathleen thought she had it all figured out.

Starting her sixth year at Hogwarts, she had no idea how her life would change. What happens when Cedric finally reveals to her his feelings? What happens when Kathleen is suddenly forced to watch her best friend risk his life in a dangerous tournament? Oh, and how is she dealing with the recent reunion with her dad who had been gone for twelve long years? What about the Weasley twins? How do they fit into Kathleen's life?
