JJ and Emily have always had their secrets, and even though they are best friends, they have some from each other. When they are called to New Orleans to assist with a series of hate crimes, JJ has to face the detective who will never stop hitting on her. In an effort to deflect him, she had to pretend to love someone else, and that person was Emily. After Hotch orders Emily and JJ to go undercover to help catch the unsub, they both start to wonder if their pretend actions were more than pretend, and if their relationship is more that just a friendship.
