There was an idea called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could.
However...
There was also a back-up plan, this idea was for people who were looking to redeem themselves of redemption. This would bring together a group of misunderstood... and remarkable people to see if they could push aside their differences, work together, to fight the battles that we could barely start to comprehend.
This idea was never named though, because it never seemed necessary.
