Etymology. Creepypasta is a portmanteau of the words creepy and copypasta; the term was coined on the imageboard 4chan around 2007. Copypasta denotes viral, copied and pasted text; the term was coined on 4chan around 2006.

Tenny swallowed hard as he got a better look at her. "Tenny, do you know them?" Carl asked. "Yes, just like I knew Zalgo... but I never thought it would actually happen." "They're supposed to be just horror stories." Only a survivor can tell the tale. Will anyone be left alive to do so? Will anyone be sane enough to believe it? When a woman was dared by her friends to try to find a new creepy pasta that showed up online, she found a man walking toward the same direction. She didn't know it yet, but he was on the hunt for the same thing. She stumbled upon a creature that looked like a half dog half human with a mask and a necklace of bloody fingers and ears. It was eating the flesh of a dead man. The sight made her sick to her stomach, and the creature targeted her next. That's when the man she saw in the distance intervened. He had some kind of training to fight something like that, and the woman had to go through it now too. To the public she was dead, but to the creepy pastas she was next in line to being their worst nightmare.Concluida

Creepypasta are essentially internet horror stories, passed around on forums and other sites to disturb and frighten readers. The name "Creepypasta" comes from the word "copypasta", an internet slang term for a block of text that gets copied and pasted over and over again from website to website. Creepypastas are sometimes supplemented with pictures, audio and/or video footage related to the story, typically with gory, distorted, or otherwise shocking content.Concluida

You are home alone, and you hear on the news about the profile of a murderer who is on the loose. You look out the sliding glass doors to your backyard, and you notice a man standing out in the snow. He fits the profile of the murderer exactly, and he is smiling at you. You gulp, picking up the phone to your right dialing 911. You look back out the glass as you press the phone to your ear, and notice he is much closer to you now. You then drop the phone in shock. There are no footprints in the snow... It's his reflection.
