Control. That's one word Urban absolutely hates. Control is always the one word used by the Classics and is constantly used in the same sentence as, "We are only doing this for your protection." Which, of course, he never believes. Living in a rural city in the crumbling United States and being without contact from any sort of political power, Urban has so far went through life pretty well without having to answer to the Classics.

Until there is an issued ordered out to every vampire in the world to come to Romania instantly, with no explanation why or for what reason. Wary of the idea that it's just them trying to get everyone in under their power, he refuses to leave the safety of the town and allows his familiar to go to Romania, but the decision was a reluctant one. He tries to keep from worrying about his friend, but he can't, and his worry is soon replaced with anger. Anger at what they had done to his familiar.

Now seeking revenge upon the Classics, Urban along with his familiar head to the north, where they get help from an unlikely man, and try to take down the people who have been controlling them for too long.

She had to be a Siren crossed breed, the man said. An evil temptress on land, the only horror that walked this earth. He warned the town.
