Skiing has always made sense to Marnie. Calculus? No way. Interpersonal connections? Still a little shaky. But skiing? That's easy. So when the unthinkable happens, and Marnie is no longer able to ski, she feels as though her entire world has snapped in half, along with her ACL. 

And then there's Briar Rose. The skinny Arabian Mare who can't seem to fit in anywhere. Marked with 'the wheat ear' It seems that Briar Rose is destined for nothing but misfortune.  

Brought together by fate, will these two wayward souls overcome the odds and gain ultimate glory? Or will destiny conquer them both?
