I ran downstairs in the living room to see all my brothers circling Nefeli who was looking for me desperately, in panic. Ah, I knew the scream could be heard and would make her worry too much.

When we made eye contact she literally just jumped on me, almost suffocating me from how tight her hug was. I was taken aback for the first two seconds but then I hugged her back, not knowing what was happening.

"Thank God you are safe!" she whispered in my ear, making me more confused than before.

I looked over to my brothers who were equally unaware of what was happening, except Aiden and Alex who were motioning for me to wait.

"Of course I am okay, Nefeli, what happened?" I asked worriedly. Seeing her like that makes my heart clench. I could not stand watching her in panic.

"I heard Alex and Aiden talking about something in Italian and they said something about Mafia! We are being threatened by Mafia?!" she yelled in my face, tears ready to escape her chocolate brown eyes.

Everyone exchanged looks and we could not help but burst into loud laughter as Nefeli was looking at us confused.

"Love, we are not threatened by Mafia" Cole said after he calmed down.

Daniela O'Brien. Dani is the girl you would say has absolutely no luck going for her at all. Two dead parents, an estranged sister and an abusive, controlling boyfriend who's keeping one hell of a secret from her. At 21 years old she unknowingly finds herself thrown into the darkest life of them all - The Mob. Carson Agnello. The guy you would say, on the surface, has all the luck going for him. At 25 years old, he's the leader of the most powerful Italian mafia in America. He's busy fighting off the Irish Mob who are neighbouring him in New York. They're on opposite sides of the battle, he knows of her but she has no clue who he is, until one event intertwines their two lives together. They suddenly rely just on each other, they need each other. They're all each other has. ✨ "I felt sorry for you, when I saw you. I wanted to help you because you were being attacked by these men. But now, I'm starting to think that maybe you deserve it. Maybe...maybe you're just as bad as they are." He held my stare as I spoke and when I finished, he let out a humourless laugh, also standing up to his feet. I watched him carefully as he crossed the room coming towards me, giving me the same cold glare as before. He stopped right in front of me, close enough for me to smell the strong scent of his aftershave, before he leaned down a little bringing his face closer to mine. His next words came out barely above a whisper but were still powerful enough to cause my breath to catch in my throat. "Maybe I am just bad as them...or maybe I'm worse baby girl." ⚠️ Warning - this book contains explicit mentions and descriptions of abuse, rape, mental health issues and suicide. She hated them. They loved her with everything in them. The universe truly has a sick way of telling you it's there, doesn't it? From being kidnapped to being abused, that was all Arabella saw in life. It was all she ever knew. They tell you to keep fighting but sometimes you realize... you were just a child. Now she's built herself up using her pain as the next step to her strength. She's learnt how to strive forward even as her past haunts her mind crawling up her back every passing second. That is until the first 7 people who only ever brought her pain find their way back into her life. She has no way to let go of her past when they come right back to her. The world showed her no mercy in it's ways so why should she. ~~~ I let out a small sigh wanting more of this. I wanted to be held like this whenever I felt broken. Feel the way he puts me back together in his arms. It ate at my heart and I could have sworn I felt a feathery kiss on my head. It was as if he could hear my thoughts and was kissing them away for me. Slowly he lets one hand go, the other staying around me as he brings my chin up to him gently wiping my last tears as more fill my eyes. He sees this and his eyes look... crumbled. If you feel this way then why can't you choose me, Dominic. I shake my head from his hands wishing to step back but he pulls me back to him a pain filled groan leaving him. "Just one more minute. Please." His body shook and I brought him closer, feeling our pain become one. Our hurricanes of minds pull away even for the smallest time letting us stand together as one in each other's embrace. He was it for me. But I wasn't his.

"You know, I always thought that this situation would play out differently." I said and their heads snapped up. Their jaws dropped and I gave them a small smile. "Am I hallucinating?" Roman murmured as he stared at me. "If you are hallucinating Isabella, then we have reached new levels of twin telepathy I did not know could be reached." Alex replied. I let out a small chuckle and unlocked the cuffs attached to their hands and they looked at me in disbelief. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Isabella has never fit in with others. She was never the most beautiful girl nor was she the most studious. She was, in a word, boring. Her life seemed plain and she made sure no one knew what was actually going on at home. She made sure that her life at home was hidden no matter how much it broke her. What happens when her family is gone and she comes to know that she is not really who she thinks she is? What happens when she goes to live with her brothers who she did not even know existed? (I'm sorry, I'm horrible at descriptions. Please give this story a chance.
