Once Upon A Time is a story about a 15 year old American - Italian girl Named Maria. Her parents work all the time, and barley ever spend time with her and her siblings. Even when they are home, they're arguing with each other all the time and they shew away the kids when they want their attention. So Maria is left to play the "Mommy Daddy" role for her parents while they work. Her parents are sometimes selfish with there money they make, so they can barely make ends meet. They couldn't pay the water bill on time so they have been without running water for months on end now, being forced to get water from a natural spring near by, and only able to take sink baths and baby wipes to stay clean. Also facing an eviction, parents wanting to divorce, nosey neighbors, and a home quarantine due to a virus outbreak all piled into one, Maria has a tough time coping with the stress.
